DANNYKRISDONNAVERONICA

by

Lawrence Dial

In a bucolic Brooklyn park Kris and Danny meet for their children's first play date.  While commiserating, a precarious emotional relationship forms between them, but when one of their children is inexplicably injured, the sequential fall-out incites their spouses, Donna and Veronica, along a self-destructive path in search of the superfluous truth.  DKDV is an off-beat meditation on the confounding buisness of contemporary parenthood.

DANNYKRISDONNAVERONICA was chosen as part of Primary Stages 2015 ESPAdrills program, workshopped at Teresa Rebeck's Vermont writer's retreat, and presented as a staged-reading at the DUKE on 42nd st (Directed by Shelly Butler, Assistant Director Alex Keegan, featuring Sarah Nina Hayon, Rebecca Henderson, Alfredo Narciso, Christina Norris, and Jeanine Serralles).  It was also chosen as a 2015 Yale grad finalist.

Special Thanks to Tessa LaNeve and Jeffery Wise.
